"Your left hand is what you know; your right hand is who you are."
#Royalforareason
In most cultures the left hand is often seen and regarded as less important than the right. I remember when I was little; in the culture I grew up in, if a child was naturally left-handed, the parents would try and "retrain" the child! I don’t think this is the case anymore, which I’m grateful for. I have some friends and family that are left-handed; most of them, if not all, are very artistic – very talented people. I love them.
In the scripts the right hand is associated with position of power, authority and favour.
King David understood this very well; he wrote Psalm 16:11 ESV :[11] You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
1 Peter 3:22 CEV
[22] Christ is now in heaven, where he sits at the right side of God. All angels, authorities, and powers are under his control.
Because of King Jesus, seated at the right hand of God, we are royals that are called to enjoy God’s power, which is not limited to but involves favour of God and men and joy in every circumstance; pleasure in life because of indwelling peace.
I am right-handed, and for me and for most human population (85-90% of the population – ref Medline Plus – Human Genetics), our right hand is the natural hand.
Go today fully aware and confident of your natural state in Christ. A state of power, favour on honour! You are royal for a reason!
