When applying to a British citizen, you have a section that asks if you are a person of good standing; in this section, you fill out any criminal records you might have. On the basis of this and other criteria, they decide if you are worthy to become a citizen.
For believers, Christ has paid the price so our record is clear; we have entered into His kingdom, but His Kingdom has its code of conduct. I believe these principles determines the level at which we experience heavenly realities on earth.
Matthew 6:33 AMP
[33] But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
We are to seek FIRST his kingdom and righteousness.
I ask myself, what does seeking His righteousness look like? For me the answer is knowing the code of conduct and following it.
The code of conduct is locked in His Word – the Bible. The Bible teaches how to be. It teaches us how to be a Christ-like husband, Christ-like wife, Christ-like child , Christ-like employee, Christ-like employer, etc. Whichever role you have in life, the Bible teaches you how to be. The Holy Spirit empowers you on how to act out the roles.
To live heavenly realities on earth, we need to be people that are aligning ourselves with the code of conduct – the principles of the Kingdom of God.
Dig into the word; uncover God’s principle. I pray for the Holy Spirit’s empowerment on you and me to do His words so we can come into heavenly realities in experience.
