Side Chick, Side Chicken, Side Hen
Disclaimer: I write this with sober thought. As one who is in the age of life- to be easily tempted by a side chick.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NLT
[12] If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. [13] The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
A side chick is another lady in one’s life who plays the role of a wife. I choose to use the words "side chick" because this terminology is now widely used in some cultures. Other cultures have their own terminology.
The role of a side chick in societies is becoming so widely accepted that wives are embracing them, thinking, "Best to save my marriage, better to have a husband than to have a broken home!"!
Read 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 NLT ( I decided not to post this but please read).
Marriage is given to us as a representation of Jesus and the church. Letting another person or party except Christ come into the union is something that God disapproves of.
Protect your marriage. Love your wife as Christ loved the church. He died for you and me. Cherish your home. You have a lot to lose from a broken home.
If you are in a place where you feel you’ve missed the path regarding this issue, there is nothing that can take you away from the love of Christ. Come back home! Repentance and forgiveness are yours, but play your part by confessing first!
