Some conversations have the potential of changing our lives
Some conversations have the potential to change our lives and destiny. I believe the most powerful conversation we can have with someone is that which introduces Jesus to them.
As we grow in the hope of becoming mature believers, we first need to be able to speak truth to ourselves. The Bible passage above uses the words "wound of a friend.". Some conversations can come across as wound-inflicted; wounds are painful, but not all wounds are bad. Someone who has just gone through surgery to remove cancer will be wounded in the procedure, but they will be grateful for the procedure despite the pain, but they know it’s a "good pain".
The life of a believer should be such that one has friends who can have difficult conversations with us. It takes someone who really loves you to speak the truth!
Ephesians 4:15 AMP
[15] But speaking the truth in love [in all things—both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head—Christ.
The reason we are encouraged to speak the truth in love is so that we can grow up in all things! Growth is important in the life of believers, and having difficult conversations with ourselves and having people in our lives who can have those conversations with us is really important.
“[6] Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern], But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda]. #kingdomculture

Proverbs 27:6 AMP
What changes do I need to make in my life? Do I have friends bold enough to have these conversations with me? Am I bold enough to have difficult conversations with my friends if I think they are truly my friends?
Kingdom life is a life of truth. Kingdom life is a life of receiving truth and giving truth. Kingdom culture is a life lived in truth. Jesus is the Truth. The Holy Spirit, who lives in us, enables us to speak and receive the truth.
