"You will never find a rainbow if you’re looking down."

Proverbs 12:25 NKJV
[25] Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.
Depression is a low mood that can last a long time or keep returning, affecting your everyday life. One of the things depression does is keep you silent, locked away, and feeling completely isolated.
Interestingly, the NHS now frequently uses "talking therapies" as a key treatment for depression, with GPs regularly referring patients to open up and speak.
Long before modern medicine, the proverb above highlighted how anxiety causes depression—and the powerful effect a "good word" can have to disperse that heavy feeling.
God’s intention for His Kingdom people is to live a life marked by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you are not at peace or not happy right now, God wants to bring you back to that place of rest.
Here are some "good words" to speak over your life today:

Hebrews 13:5
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Jeremiah 29:11
"’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ’plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’"

Proverbs 3:5–6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Sometimes, you can get that "good word" simply by opening up to a friend.
Start your days realizing the peace and joy that is already yours through the finished work of Christ.
Lift up your head and look around you. You are saved for more. The world needs your light!
