When Niki and I got married, she moved into the house I rented in Coventry. I moved to Coventry 6 months before we got married. The house I was in was a 3-bed (rented with marriage in mind), but it had a very small kitchen.

The church I attended liked to hold open homes (church members attend each other’s houses for a meal after Sunday worship), so we put ourselves on the rota. After 2 years or so, the house started showing signs of dilapidation(it wasn’t in the best condition when I rented it), the kitchen was falling apart due to a bathroom leak that was fixed, but the landlord didn’t redecorate the kitchen. Then the landlord wanted to increase the rent! At this point I had lost my job but started working as a self-employed person; Niki was still a student, and cash was tight.

Niki said we should move to another property, but because of the extra money, I didn’t want to move, so there was "TENSION"!

When an older lady came to our house for open home, Niki poured out her heart to her. In turn, this lady called me to the side and said, "Bolade, move!" I respect her a lot, and I obeyed. It was a great decision! Although increased rent but better quality of life and marriage!

Kingdom life is about the older advising the younger. The younger ones are listening to instructions and acting on them. Kingdom life gives peace and happiness!
