Never say Never!- The story of a cat hater.

I grew up in a part of Nigeria where you hardly see cats. There are a lot of superstitions surrounding cats and you won’t want to have an Olongbo ( Yoruba word for cat).

My wife on the other hand grew up with cats.

My close friends know I don’t like cats. They will hide their cats when they know I’ll be visiting. There was a time I drove home from work and a neighbour’s cat was by our front door. I won’t dare come out of the car and I remember sitting in the car for about 20min! Another time a kitten was chasing me down the street

Thinking about it now, the kitten wanted to play with me but I was so afraid!

Recently after so many years of asking, I found myself agreeing to the wishes of my wife and kids and we got a kitten! What happened to me? Have I gone mad?

This animal is incredible, I love it! It’s so adorable, very caring and sensitive. It even taught itself how to use the toilet (litter). Intelligent animals cats are. I found myself talking to it! We do my morning routines together

Honestly never say never! I still love dogs though
