Some years ago my kids asked for a pet chicken.

I am a natural animal lover but my wife is not as much. The only pet my wife loves which I hate is a cat! Sorry cat lovers! So for this reason having a pet cat is not a discussion in our family. I am praying to God to change this feeling I have against cats

Back to my story, we decided to get chickens. I was happy because I thought this would teach them responsibility i.e. looking after something else. How wrong was I! The excitement of owning chickens ended after a few weeks and I was the one that ended up cleaning the chicken coop!

When we moved house we gave the chickens away but their love for pets remains so they asked for a dog . You can imagine my response when I remembered who did the work when we had the chickens!
