"The waves of disobedience from yesterday may wash up on the shores of today, but they only stay for a season!"
?I read a verse recently that truly spoke to me, and I wanted to share it to encourage you today.
?Proverbs 25:26 NLT
?[26] If the godly give in to the wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring.
?Some of you might know that about 16 years ago, I lost a job due to an error on my part—an error that called my integrity into question. For me, that event was a significant, defining moment. I truly believe God used it to make me reflect deeply on my character and show me areas where I needed to grow. While that job loss resulted in a damaged reputation and heavy financial strain, that difficult season of my life is now long gone.
?The proverb above reminds us that there are times in life when even the righteous (you and I) can miss the mark. But here is the beautiful truth: a polluted fountain or a muddy spring can be cleaned out!
?Both a fountain and a spring are pictures of flowing water. The dirt doesn’t stay forever; it clears up when fresh water flows in from the right source. For us as believers, that process of clearing out the mud is a call to repentance and restoration and letting the refilling of the Holy Spirit!
?No matter what waves have washed up on your shore, remember that your mistakes do not define your final standing with God.
?Romans 8:38-39 NLT
?[38] And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
