It’s always been God’s intention that man should work for Him. We read that God prepared a lovely garden, then placed Adam to work it (This was before the fall).
Genesis 2:15 ESV
[15] The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
God placed us at our workplace to show his love and grace to all around us. Though we get paid for the job we do, we are also agents of the most might as believers. We get paid for our labour, but the real reward we receive is an eternal reward as we clothe ourselves in Christ’s love to the people around you at work, making them know Jesus is our source of strength and happiness.
Ecclesiastes 5:9 KJV
[9] Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
As we go today, I pray our eyes are open to the colleagues, clients , customers, managers, etc. around us to show everyone His love as we see ourselves as His agents called to work on the earth.
Colossians 3:23-24 ESV
[23] Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, [24] knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
