The average human, including myself, wants to live a life of financial stability. This is a trait that cuts across the human race regardless of location, gender, race or any "divide" we might choose to put on the human race.
My idea of heaven on earth is living a righteous, peaceful and joyful life here on earth. We know from scriptures that this life can only be lived through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, which is only available to believers because of Jesus.
I also believe that the key to experiencing the heavenly realities as stated above is living a contented life. 1 Timothy 6:6-7 ESV
[6] But godliness with contentment is great gain, [7] for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.
In life, contentment can be achieved when our needs are met, but I believe that we are all called to be a blessing to this world, and through God’s blessings overflowing in our lives, we bless others.
2 Corinthians 8:9 AMP
[9] For you are recognizing [more clearly] the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [His astonishing kindness, His generosity, His gracious favor], that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich (abundantly blessed).
Proverbs 22:4 ESV
[4] The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
Humility and being in awe of God has a reward – riches, honour and life! Our role model as believers in humility is Jesus Christ!
Of course, the real blessing is eternal life. The assurance of a place after this life, but my belief is that God’s abundant blessings are to be experienced here on earth too.
My prayer is Christ increases in us to a measure where our lives on Earth become a true reflection of His Glory, and we, through His rich blessings on our lives, become the world changers He’s called us to be. Enjoy your day impacting lives because you are blessed.
