There can sometimes be a tension as believers in knowing how much to share our testimonies and breakthroughs. In some cases we tend to not speak about these goodness of God in the fear that people will think "we are boasting".
This mindset is something I’m praying God changes in me because I have come to realise through self-searching that me withholding these is a way of taking glory away from God. I am otherwise saying I have done this in my power!
1 Corinthians 1:27-31 ESV
[27] But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; [28] God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, [29] so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. [30] And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, [31] so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
We believers are to boast, but we only boast in the Lord through Jesus Christ. The basis of sharing is that we were weak but are now made strong through Christ. We share because we were foolish but now made wise because of Jesus.
So don’t let anything (including yourself) hold you back from sharing God’s goodness. When we share, we bring Heaven to earth in the lives of people that hear our testimonies.
I can’t wait to read your testimony. I want to celebrate God’s goodness in your life. When we share, we unlock faith in the hearts of the hearers.
Share your testimony and tag me please; I want to celebrate the Christ in you, the only hope for glory!
