"Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice and is never a result of selfishness."
The Christian journey on earth is an interesting one. I believe a journey that is meant to mimic that of Christ. A journey that involves death, burial and resurrection.
The maturing process of a believer means that we know from EXPERIENCE that the life we live is not our own, but we live a life with the assurance that Christ will be revealed through every situation. And every glory, though through us, always points to Jesus!
Romans 6:3 HCSB
[3] Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
We can never compare our daily selfless sacrifice to the job Jesus did on the cross. NEVER! But in God’s Kingdom, obedience is better than sacrifice, but I have found out that obedience can only be achieved by sacrificing.
There is a lot I need to work on as a Christian, but I know that because Jesus has paid the price, I live in freedom empowered by His Spirit.
When I became a Christian, I didn’t fully understand the journey, but I’m glad I obeyed the call to be one. I’m still understanding the journey as I grow in my faith, but I can boldly say I never and will never regret obeying the call to follow Jesus. The greatest sacrifice – Jesus, through His selflessness, has given you and me the greatest achievement – a relationship with God!
2 Corinthians 5:21 NLT
[21] For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
