The best form of leadership is leading by example.
When I moved to Coventry in 2010, I started attending a church. At the church, I met a couple in the next stage of life I aspire to be. At this point in my life I was single and about to get married; they were married with children.
They hold no posting in the church, i.e not pastor or deacon, but just people with a heart to serve.
Once in a while when this man preaches. He will open the scripture with clarity and intelligence. Over time my relationship grew with him. I asked him questions about how he does what he does. His actions and behaviour remind me of this:
Our contribution to Kingdom advance doesn’t have to have a title attached to it. Jesus calls us His friends, and in turn, we choose to serve in His Kingdom
This doesn’t negate the fact that you might feel you have a calling on your life, but serve where you are and do your best at it.
“[24] Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos, an eloquent speaker who knew the Scriptures well, had arrived in Ephesus from Alexandria in Egypt. [25] He had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism. [26] When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.
