I sat in a leadership class yesterday, and I heard the quote above! This made me reflect on different aspects of life, but in particular, parenting!
I have come across so many couples whose marriage has become strained because of parenting decisions, e.g. which schools should we put our kids in? Which house should we buy etc.. Digging down to the root of these issues is one or both parent thinking their way is best thereby creating tension in the marriage.
The team you are on (your marriage with your partner) is more important than the team you are leading (your parental choice).
Choose wisely; don’t let your ego get in the way of your relationship. It’s better to lose the fight and win the battle!
