"The things you know can prevent you from knowing the things you need to know." - Being Teachable.
#lovingyourself
For over a year I have been working as a pharmacist based on a university campus. My core patients range from 18 to 25 years old. This job role is quite different from the other community pharmacy roles I have had before because of the ages of my clients. I didn’t like the job to start with, but now I love it! ( I’ll be sharing about my journey in another post.)
Because most of my customers are students in higher education when they have medication prescribed, some of them will come with some knowledge of the medication and want more information, and some will come with no knowledge about the medication. But there is a last category—they come with a lot of ideas and knowledge about the mediation but don’t want any more advice because "They know it all!"

.
The last category of customers leaves the pharmacy not getting the full professional advice, not because we don’t want to give it but because they don’t want to listen! Luckily, most medications come with a patient information leaflet, so we take comfort that we have passed on the information needed, but they have missed out on the verbal advice!
This reminds me of the words of Jesus:
Mark 4:25 AMP
[25] For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.”
Having a teachable heart needs humility of heart. A heart that is always looking to add to our knowledge, evaluating what we know, and giving our ears to new voices (evaluating what’s being said).
“For whoever has [a teachable heart], to him more [understanding] will be given; and whoever does not have [a yearning for truth], even what he has will be taken away from him.

In summary
Learn something new this season; listen to new things. Mix up your social circle in a way to enrich your heart. Have a great day.
