Royals and soldiers share a history of serving their country and upholding tradition, often intertwining military service with leadership roles. They also share a commitment to service, discipline, and a culture of honour.

On the face of it, it sounds glamorous to be royal, but the work involved is huge. Self-discipline, training, and service.

To be royal in God’s Kingdom is to work for the kingdom and to be in service for God!

2 Timothy 2:3-4 AMPC

[3] Take [with me] your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus. [4] No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.

Like a soldier, we sometimes stray into the enemy territory because we have broken ranks and stepped into the enemy’s trap.

The beautiful thing about being a soldier in God’s kingdom is that though we’ve made some mistakes, He loves us nonetheless.

Though we might be scared and injured because of our mistakes; his healing is there.

Once you are royal through the blood of Christ, you are always royal. Where are you at with your God? Nothing can take you away from the love of God! Not even my errors or your own errors!

Psalm 147:3 ESV

[3] He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

God loves you. You are a fighter. Get up; let Jesus, the greatest physician, bind up that wound. Pick up His Word – your fighting weapon! Be healed. You are royal for a reason!
