Revelation 5:10 AMPC
[10] And You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign [as kings] over the earth! [Exod. 19:6; Isa. 61:6.]
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, a line in the statement says Matthew 6:10 ESV
[10] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
The Kingdom of God, which all believers are as part of, is based around the will of God.
God has a will for this world and our lives. Part of our assignment as Kingdom people is to play our part in bringing heaven to earth – making aspects of heaven a reality in our lives and in the world around us – and we do that first through prayer and then good works.
Jesus speaking he said in Mark 11:24 AMP
[24] For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
God has put desire in accordance with His will in our hearts, and the way we ask for these desires to come to reality on earth is through prayer.
There can be weariness that sets in when we pray; as such, we are reminded
1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT
[17] Never stop praying.
Colossians 4:2 CEV
[2] Never give up praying. And when you pray, keep alert and be thankful.
As a believer, we can only rule when connected to our throne of power. We connect through Jesus in prayer.
When we pray, we are renewed, empowered and energised by the Holy Spirit.
When we pray, we are changed; when we pray, we change our world. When we pray, we bring heaven to earth.
In the place of prayer, we act out our priestly role to be empowered to reign as kingdom people.
