From 2019 to 2020 A major desert locust outbreak affected countries in East Africa, causing widespread damage to crops and threatening food security. Locust infestations can cause significant economic losses for farmers and communities, impacting livelihoods and trade.

Life sometimes can be ash. We can go through seasons that bring lack to us because of the decisions we’ve made, but there are times where we go through a tough season not not necessarily because of our actions but because life just happened. A guy in the Bible called Job reminds me of this!

Joel 2:25-26 ESV

[25] I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. [26] “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.

Whatever the cause of the lack is, we serve a God who restores. In an instant, He can bring light into darkness!

The greatest work of restoration is the fact that He went to the cross for you and me to restore our relationship with God the Father.

Have you lost a lot? Are you losing a lot? I want to encourage you to come to Jesus; He restores.

In the passage above, the prophet encourages the people to repent, and then they will experience restoration. Job had to forgive his friends before he experienced God’s blessings again.

Repent if you need to; forgive if you need to. God wants to restore you; He wants to bless you. You will know a blessing like you’ve never known before. Be blessed!
