Change your thoughts and you change your world.
"Change your thoughts and you change your world." —The Black Goldfish
#kingdomculture
I love keeping goldfish. A few years ago, Niki decided to get some new ones for the fish tank. I looked at the fish, and it was black, so I said, "I thought you got a goldfish"? She said yes, the man said; it will change to gold. I laughed my head off and said to her she’s been ripped off.
We kept the fish, fed it, and looked after it. As the fish grew, so the colour of the scales changed. The black goldfish becomes visibly gold. It was a miraculous transformation right before our eyes over times by looking after the fish.
When we give our lives to Christ, our destiny has changed instantly, but our state of mind takes longer to change. God’s plan for us as Kingdom people is to be from one state of glory to a great state of glory.
If you’ve given your life to Christ a long time ago and you are still struggling with some issues of the past, God wants to transform and renew your mind.
Note: Transformation is by changing the way we think. Changing the way we think is about asking a lot of "whys" about the culture and customs around us.
I pray today and this week you’ll take some time to reflect on the customs and the culture around you and ask why. Are your thoughts and actions aligned with the principles of God’s kingdom?
Reflect on God’s ways. Understand His ways by engaging in scripture. Turn away from old ways.
“[2] Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
