The family pictured below are called the Ilesanmis.

I came to the UK in 2001 and found myself in Liverpool in 2002. As a 19-year-old international student, away from home and getting used to a new environment, God brought me in contact with this lovely family. Pastor Martin sadly went to be with the Lord in 2010, after running a good race and leaving a lasting legacy: A legacy that lives on in me and so many others. Pastor Funmi Ilesanmi still leads the church they started in Liverpool.

I declared myself as the first adopted son of the Ilesanmis because the love I got, and still get from them, is like that of family.

Life as an international student can be lonely. With a team of people, I chair an organisation called Friends International

(Coventry and Warwickshire branch).

We do a lot of stuff, but mainly we are friends with international students. Please consider partnering with us- "Coventry Centre". ( See the comments section)
