People who know me well will say I’m competitive. I really don’t think so; I just don’t like losing. When I lose at something I really like, it makes me think hmmmm. There is more to learn.
 
There are some boys that are really dear to me. In my heart I see them as my younger brothers- Connected through the blood of Christ. When I met them, they were young, and they played table tennis. I love table tennis, and I think I’m ok at it, but when I start playing with these boys, they will win all the time. I didn’t sulk, but I got myself a table tennis table. I would play with my friends and have fun.
 
 
Now fast forward just over 10 years or so later. The youngest of these boys was going to uni, so I was invited to a little send-off for him. And there it was in the garden, a table tennis table! We started playing. I whooped those boys so hard that day it’s currently among the top ten greatest moments of my life ??????
 
 
Training and discipline are important. When we give our lives to Christ, the journey begins. The journey of transformation and renewal of mind. Going to church is great; reading your Bible is fantastic. But you need to read books. listen to different preachers across different areas of growth in the Christian life.

[15] Study and do your best to present yourself to God-approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth. [16] But avoid all irreverent babble and godless chatter [with its profane, empty words], for it will lead to further ungodliness,
Is it interesting that Jesus, who willingly gave His life for us, requires us on our part to work hard so we can present ourselves to him?
